Four tiers in one group: €100, €250, €500 and €1,000. With €495.95 in the cart, €4.05 are missing until the third.
- Segments of equal size
- The bar distributes the tiers evenly, not to scale. There is as much distance between €0 and €100 as between €500 and €1,000.
- Duplicate thresholds merge
- Two rewards with the same threshold form one tier, not two. And rewards without a minimum form no tier at all, they are there from the start.
- The basis is the goods value
- All items except the rewards themselves are counted. So a reward discount does not lower the threshold, and a free product does not raise it.
- Re-evaluated on every click
- If the cart or the currency changes, the plugin re-checks every reward in the cart against the current threshold. Whatever no longer fits disappears.
What happens below the threshold.
In the demo shop a gift from €500 was in the cart because two main products worth €991.90 were in it. After reducing to one product, that is €495.95, the gift was gone. The plugin ships three messages for this case: cart value too low, rule no longer matches, plugin switched off for the sales channel. In our test none of them appeared though, only the usual "Cart updated" notice.
Rewards never stay behind alone. If the last purchased item is removed, all rewards disappear as well. A cart containing nothing but gifts therefore cannot happen.
